During the initial consultation, Mike gives the potential client an overview of Colorado law on divorce, including the substantive law (division of property, parental responsibilities, child support and spousal maintenance, etc.) and the procedural law (how the judicial process works for divorce cases), as well as addressing the potential client’s specific questions. Because of the amount of information provided during the initial consultation, an hourly fee is charged for these initial consultations.
